Indian Embassy, Greece receives visa applications online. Please connect to the following URL to enter your application online: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/

(Upon clicking this link, if you see a security warning message, ignore the security warning message and continue ahead.) On that page click on either online application link or Online Visa Application Registration. Upon clicking on that link, Online Indian Visa Form will open.

1.      This visa application form is in 3-4 pages, but can be entered in more than one sitting. In order that you can fill this form in more than one sitting, you must note down the Temporary Application ID which appears on the first page, as soon as you open the online visa application page.

2.      If you are applying for visa at Embassy of India, Greece, you must select Indian Mission: Athens.

3.      If you continue to the next page i.e. go to page 2, your application will be saved in the system. You can access your partially filled application by entering the Temporary Application ID.

4.      Your application will also be saved in the system, if you click on button Temporary Exit after filling up at least the first 6 columns, i.e. upto the date of birth column.

5.      Kindly ensure all the fields of the visa application form are completely filled before submitting including your Greek and India referee contacts.

6.      After completing the application form, print your application in PDF format.

7.      Present the printed application form, along with 2 photographs (5 cm x 5cm in dimension), passport, visa fee and other relevant documents to the Indian Embassy

The application should be presented to the Embassy only after 24 hours of its registration online and within 30 days of its registration online.

8.      Registration is not limited to one application per person at any given time. If you have problems with retrieving your application in case of inaccuracies in your already registered application or need to change the purpose of your visit to India you can always re-register again.

Applications are accepted in person only. Applicants should personally submit their visa application at the Embassy’s building (Kleanthous 3, Athens) between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, (prior appointment necessary) Monday to Friday (except holidays). Please book visa appointment through email cons.athens@mea.gov.in.

 We have not authorised have any other office outside the Embassy to provide this service.

 IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Embassy has received complaints that some websites claim payment of visa fees on its behalf. Please note that visa fees are to be paid only at the Embassy visa counters at the time of submission of visa application and in cash only.

COLLECTION TIME: 15:30 – 16:30.

Visa must be collected by the applicant with original receipt received from embassy. The applicant may also authorize someone to collect his/her passport by giving an authorization letter, (υπεύθυνη δήλωση) which is addressed to the Embassy of India, Athens, Greece, along with a copy of authorized person’s photo ID.
